Ghana Premier League: Accra Lions tactician Ibrahim Tanko cites loss of concentration for defeat against Kotoko

Accra Lions tactician Ibrahim Tanko believes his side inability to concentrate till the final whistle cost them a vital point against Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors left it late to secure maximum points against Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

Lions exhibited top performance but a last gasp goal by Kotoko broke their hearts.

Kalo Ouattra’s headed home the match-winner on the 98 minutes after meeting a pin point cross from Sherrif Mohammed. It was Kotoko’s first win of the season after four games.

“It’s a very painful defeat. I mean lack of concentration. I think a draw could have been a better or a fair result based on how the two teams played but this is football, one lack of concentration cause you three points. It’s painful,” Coach Ibrahim Tanko said.

Accra Lions will clash with city rivals, Great Olympics for their next game.
