FC Samartex, the reigning Ghana Premier League champions, have confirmed the acquisition of former Real Tamale United FC skipper Baba Kushibo in the ongoing transfer window.
The seasoned winger joins the champions on a free transfer after his departure from Real Tamale United. FC Samartex announced Kushibo’s signing on Friday afternoon via a statement on social media.
“We are pleased to officially announce the signing of seasoned winger Baba Kushibo, who served as the captain of Real Tamale United during the 2023/24 season. He joins our club on a free transfer, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our team,” the statement read.
Kushibo was a standout performer for Real Tamale United in the 2023/24 season and is expected to bring his extensive experience to FC Samartex in the upcoming season.
He will join his new teammates for pre-season training ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
During the last season, Baba Kushibo featured in 30 Ghana Premier League matches and scored four goals as Real Tamale United struggled throughout the season.
