National Sports Authority director Prof Peter Twumasi has revealed that Ghana Premier League clubs signed a contract to play football in the afternoon and not in the evening.

Ghana Premier League game between Accra Great Olympics and Nsoatreman, witnessed an interruption due to the absence of functioning floodlights, plunging the stadium into near darkness and severely compromising visibility.

This hiccup forced an impromptu halt in the proceedings. It wasn't until later in the game that the floodlights were finally switched on, allowing the match to resume.

In a tense showdown, the host, Accra Great Olympics, ultimately emerged victorious with a final score of 2-1. Nsoatreman scored in the 15th minute through Mohammed Rahaman. Emmanuel Antwi netted twice in the 56th and 77th minute to give the home side the victory.

"We and the clubs that use the stadium have an agreement and all the conditions are in the agreement the Premier League clubs that signed they signed to play their games in the afternoon," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"They were told to rent the stadium every match day and if they were renting every match day will be Ghc110,000 they said we can't pay so they opted to sign and share.

"The play and share too sometimes we we gift it to them National Sports Authourtiy's share is 15 percent sometimes after the games we don't get even Ghc200,"
