Ghana Premier League matchday 15 report: Opoku Agyemang's double ensure win for Medeama over Legon Cities

Published on: 14 March 2020

Medeama extended their lead at the top of the table with a 2-0 win over Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

The Mauve and Yellows started pilling the pressure at the start of the game and were rewarded with the opener inside 12 minutes. Prince Opoku Agyemang was the scorer with a tidy finish.

The striker showed more hunger to succeed and was rewarded with a brace in the 3oth minute, giving his side the cushion heading into half time.

The main event was the performance of Kurl Songs at half time but that could not spur Legon Cities to salvage a result in the second half.

Medeama now have 30 points, at least three more than any other team and Legon Cities are currently 14th with 16 points.
