Published on: 05 February 2020

Berekum Chelsea aim to get back to winning ways as they prepare to host Karela United on Wednesday in Berekum.

Berekum Chelsea lost their unbeaten run in the previous matchday. They fell to a 2-1 defeat to Bechem United away from home, bringing an end to a streak that went as far as six matchdays.

The Blues are however in contention for the trophy as they currently lie in second place with just two points below the table toppers Aduana Stars.

Chelsea boasts of the joint second lowest amount in goals conceded in the league (3) but there are warning signs in attack. The Berekum-based side have only scored six so far (0.86 goals per game), the lowest among the top six.

They will hope to please their fans against Karela United.

Karela have struggled to make a real impact in the league this season. They have accumulated eight points so far and have experienced some trouble defensively, shipping in eight goals (1.14 goals per game).

They are currently in 12th place and aim to rise up the rankings with a huge away victory over Berekum Chelsea.

The two teams have only played against each other on one occasion and Karela came out on top with a 1-0 win.
