Ghana Premier League matchday 9 report: Kotoko beat ten-man Dreams in Dawu

The Porcupine Warriors used their numerical advantage to full effect and secured a 1-0 victory away from home.

The two teams struggled at the initial stages to take control of the tie. Dreams were showing early signs of scoring until they went a man down in the 36th minute.

Dantani Amadu was given his marching orders by the referee for a second bookable offense. Kotoko sent in waves of attacks and came closest in the 39th minute.

Martin Antwi took on a beautiful past and unleashed a powerful shot but he was denied by the crossbar.

The Porcupine Warriors continued to apply the pressure and they were duly rewarded in the 68th minute.

Imoro Ibrahim’s free kick was deflected in by a Dreams FC player to give the visitors the lead. The visitors managed to hold on till the final whistle was blown.

Kotoko are now in 5th and Dreams are in 8th place.
