Ghana Premier League: We're taking it a game at a time - Asante Kotoko defender Patrick Asmah

Asante Kotoko left-back ,Patrick Asmah was thrilled about his performance and contribution to the goal that secured the Porcupine Warriors all three points in the

Asanteman derby against Ashgold.

Asmah has proven useful for the Kotoko in both defense and in attack where he's occasionally operated on the wings.

In a game that had significant consequences at the top end of the table it was Asmah who stepped up to the plate in the 21minute to deliver a sumptuous cross to meet header of Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama to secure Kotoko a 1-0 win.

"We knew it was going to be a difficult match because it was a home game against a home side. Ashgold are formidable side at the Len Clay Stadium. And they were coming on the back of a defeat last week. "

"It's a delight to provide the assist that won us game "I'm particularly happy that the coach could count on me for such a crucial match"

There are six matches to the close of the season. Kotoko, are joint leaders at the top by virtue of their low scoring rate. Asmah is optimistic about their chances of winning the league.

"We're taking it a game at a time ,and I have absolute confidence in our ability to have a successful campaign."
