Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has opened up on his exploits at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The newly signed West Ham United midfielder excelled at the mundial despite the Black Stars early elimination from the tournament held in the Asian country in December 2022.

The former Ajax star scored twice and assisted one in three games as the Black Stars failed to progress from a group which consisted Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

Ghana won just one and suffered two defeat in their three games they played in Group H.

Kudus sealed a move to the Hammers on Sunday, penning a five-year deal with an option to extend for another year.

And speaking to the club’s media, the enterprising midfielder expressed being able to perform at the World Cup was a career highlight of his career.

“Yes, I think with the national team the World Cup is the biggest stage in world football, so to perform on that stage was a career highlight for me!” he said.

Kudus joined the Dutch giants in the summer of 2020, signing a five-year deal after switching from Danish club FC Nordsjælland.

The Ghana international made 87 appearances for Ajax’s first team and scored 27 goals.

At Ajax, Kudus won the Eredivisie twice (2021 and 2022), and won the Dutch Cup once (2021).
