Ghana star Mohammed Kudus showers praise on Fatawu Issahaku after explosive campaign with Leicester City

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has eulogized his Black Stars teammate Abdul Fatawu Issahaku following his outstanding performance for Leicester City this season.

Issahaku joined the Foxes on loan from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon before the start of the 2023/24 season and has since established himself as a key member of the team.

The 20-year-old Ghanaian winger has had a brilliant season with the Foxes in the Championship, helping the club to make a quick return to the Premier League.

Issahaku has six goals and 13 assists in 39 league games to his credit this season and was voted as the Young Player of the Season at Leicester’s end of season awards event.

Leicester City have been crowned champions of the English Championship with a game left to play. The Enzo Maresca-led team beat Preston North End 3-0 to clinch the title having secured promotion to the elite division thanks to Leeds United’s loss in the lead up to the game.

However, Kudus, who plies his trade for West Ham United has taken to social to praise his compatriot after impressive season with the Foxes.

“What a player and what a season! Proud watching you”. He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Leicester City are expected to sign Issahaku on a permanent dal from Sporting Lisbon for s fee around 17 million Euros.

Issahaku has been crowned Leicester City’s Men’s Young Player of the season.
