Ghana international Thomas Partey returned to action for Arsenal on Thursday night when the team drew goalless with Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

The highly-rated midfielder suffered a recurrence of a thigh strain injury during his team’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in December 2020.

As a result, the former Atletico Madrid man had been sidelined for the past few weeks where he received treatment.

Having regained fitness, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta included Thomas Partey in the team’s matchday squad for the Crystal Palace match today.

After missing out on a starting role, the midfielder was introduced in the 69th minute to replace Daniel Ceballos.

Going on to play 20 minutes of the match, the combative midfielder appeared in good shape as he helped the Londoners to earn a point at the end of the 90 minutes.

Today’s appearances mean that Thomas Partey has now featured in six matches for Arsenal in the English Premier League since joining the side from Atletico Madrid in the summer.
