Ghana striker Joel Fameyeh tops goal king chart in Russian FNL six matches into new season

Ghana international, Joel Fameyeh is gunning for the top scorer award in the 2022/23 Russian Football National League season.

The talented goal scorer joined Rubin Kazan from Orenburg this summer and has since established himself as one of the team’s best players.

Over the weekend, Joel Fameyeh started for Rubin Kazan when the team locked horns with Volga Ulyanovsk in the Russian Football National League.

Looking sharp during his stay on the pitch, the striker scored with a fantastic effort in injury time of the second half to secure the maximum three points for his team.

In the matchday 6 encounter of the Russian National League, Leon Musaev scored to give Rubin Kazan the lead in the 12th minute.

However, before recess, Chingiz Magomadov converted a spot kick to restore parity for the hosts.

Courtesy of that goal on Saturday, Joel Fameyeh increased his tally to 5 goals since the start of the new football

He is now top of the goal king chart and three goals more than the player who is second on the chart.
