Newly promoted German Bundesliga 2 side, VfL Osnabrück, have announced the signing of Ghanaian striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt from Holstein Kiel.

The 28-year-old will reunite with his former team, with whom he had a successful stint during the 2016/17 season.

Wriedt will join VfL Osnabrück on a loan deal from their German second-tier rivals.

He is leaving Holstein Kiel in search for more playing time after getting very limited minutes during the two seasons he has played with the club in the Bundesliga 2.

During the just concluded 2022/23 season, he made 23 appearances, scoring just three goals and provided one assist.

Although he made 26 appearances for the "Storks", he often found himself as a substitute and seldom completed full matches.

The previous season, he made only 15 appearances and scored three goals again.

During his previous stint with VfL Osnabrück, Wriedt made an impact by contributing twelve goals and eight assists in 36 matches in the third division.
