Ghana vs Nicaragua: Otto Addo seeks to correct mistakes after Brazil defeat

Ghana coach Otto Addo will seek to correct mistakes when the Black Stars face Nicaragua after suffering a heavy defeat against Brazil.

The Black Stars shipped in all the goals in the first half and despite an improved second, they were unable to come back into the match.

The West African powerhouse are expected to play their second warm-up match during this international free date against the Central American country on Tuesday night.

After the 3-0 defeat to Brazil, the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder admitted he made mistakes against the five-time world champions and is not expected to rectify them.

''I will start with myself because maybe the system was wrong. I have to look at it again and question myself first.

''The line-up was good but we have to work harder and we have to work especially on the set pieces and we have to work harder to close the lines.

''There were too many gaps between the lines.'' He said after Brazil defeat.

Meanwhile, the Dortmund talent development coach is expected to ring changes to the squad that played Brazil last Friday.

Addo could start players who came on as substitutes in Friday's humiliating defeat in Le Havre.

Inaki Williams, Mohammed Salisu, and Tariq Lamptey, who provided stability to the team when they came off the bench last week, are expected to start on Tuesday.

That means Felix Afena-Gyan, Denis Odoi and Kamaldeen Sulemana are likely to start on the bench.

"I don’t know, like I said it’s a different match for everyone to know. For me, I can ring over a team and play against the next team. But every team demands different things so I need to pick the players which I need for that game.

"Even though somebody may have scored three goals in one game doesn’t mean he has to play in the other game. Because the games and the teams or opponents are different and so different demands for each game I have to bring players," said Addo at a pre-match presser on Monday.
