Ghana international Joseph Paintsil has shared his excitement after inspiring LA Galaxy to triumph over Vancouver Whitecaps in the Major League Soccer.

Paintsil, who switched from KRC Genk to join LA Galaxy in February 2024 as Designated Player delivered an outstanding performance to help his side secure victory at the weekend.

The Black Stars winger scored and also provided an assists as his side strolled to a 3-1 win at the BS Place.

“Thank God for the goal, assist and three points” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.

After the break, LA Galaxy opened the scroing through Dejan Joveljic in the 56th minute mark before Brian White scored to pull parity for the home team in the 77th minute.

The Ghanaian internagtional found the back of the net in the 80th minute mark to put LA Galaxy ahead before assisting Diego Fagundez to seal victory for the visitors.

Paintsil has scored three goals and provided three assists since joining LA Galaxy in February from Belgium giants KRC Genk.

LA Galaxy sit top of the table in the West Conference after eight games with Whitecaps closely following them on the table.
