Ghana international, Joseph Paintsil has reportedly received the green light from his club, KRC Genk to join English Premier League outfit Burnley.

The player has been the subject of interest from several clubs in Europe this summer and could end up leaving Belgium before the summer transfer window shuts on Friday.

Following negotiations, reports coming in this evening are that Burnley have made a breakthrough and reached a deal with Genk for the signing of the Black Stars forward.

Sources have reported that Joseph Paintsil will join Burnely on an initial season-long loan move.

At the end of the stint, the English Premier League side will have the option to sign the attacker for a fee of €18 million.

It is understood that Joseph Paintsil will arrive in England early Friday morning to undergo medicals before sealing the loan move to Burnley.

He will be making the move on the back of a stellar campaign in the Belgian Pro League last season.

That season, he scored 17 goals and provided 12 assists after making 36 appearances.
