Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana has revealed compatriot, Mohammed Salisu had no influence in his Southampton move as purported to be.

Sulemana switched from the French Ligue 1 club on transfer deadline day, signing a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Saints.

He currently shares the dressing room with his Black Stars teammate at Southampton as they seek to survive relegation at the end of the campaign.

The winger made his debut for Southampton in the 3-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday, leaving the Saints bottom of the Premier League midway through the season.

“Before coming, obviously in the national team we talk about the English Premier League, we talk about everything but before coming here, he had nothing to do with the decision, I just made my decision and then when I got here he showed me around. He is a good guy and he is helping me out here”
