Ghana winger Osman Bukari reacts to Red Star Belgrade’s home defeat to Monaco in Europa League

Ghana international Osman Bukari has reacted to Red Star Belgrade’s defeat to AS Monaco in the Europa League Group H opener.

The Black Stars winger started and lasted the entire duration as his side Red Star Belgrade succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at home on Thursday night.

“I think this was not our game. In the first half, we controlled the match, we could have scored one or two goals, but we failed to do so. The game was really good, it didn't end the way we wanted, but that's football. We have to quickly forget this match and turn to the next game, “he said.

Osman Bukari, who posed a great threat to Monaco was unable to score or register an assist and has therefore pleaded with the fans.

“That's my job, I always have to be up to the task on the field. I didn't manage to score a goal or register an assist, I'm sorry about that. I have to keep working hard and fighting for our fans. I repeat that it is my job and when I am on the field I have to run and fight for the team,”

He has been outstanding since joining the Serbian club in the summer.
