Ghanaian attacker Osei Bonsu credits form in Slovak league with FK Senica to hard work

Ghanaian international Kwaku Osei Bonsu has observed that his recent form at FK Senica in the Slovak League is due to his hard work in training and also the efforts he put into games.

The enterprising teenager has been in fine form this season and has four goals to his name after featuring in four matches for his club.

He spent more time with the junior team of the club before eventually being handed his senior team appearance.

Marking his senior team debut last weekend, Osei Bonsu scored for FK Senica in their 2-1 defeat to MSK Zilina.

Speaking in an interview, the teenager has noted that his performance is due to his hard work in training.

“I took the challenge of playing with the second team in good faith, and said to myself that I'm going to work hard to get back to the first team”, the 19-year-old said.

Bonsu added, “I wasn't surprised when I got the call but It came sooner than I didn't expect. The team needed help going into a crucial match against the second-best team in the league. It was a bit of a daunting task but a perfect time opportunity for me”.

“The fact that I was called for such an important game meant a lot to me. I didn't even expect to start so I was overjoyed when I managed to put the team in front in the first. I was very disappointed we lost the game.

“I spend a lot of time training on my own to improve my game besides joining the team for our usual training sessions. The league is as competitive as any league I have played in. I believe it's a result of my dedication and hard and the main goal is to help the team improve its position on the league table.

Kwaku Osei Bonsu is expected to enjoy more minutes with the first team to help the side better their 9th position on the Slovak League standings.
