United States-born Ghanaian defender Devon Amoo-Mensah scored in Detroit City FC's 2-1 win against Miami FC in the USL Championship.

Devon Amoo-Mensah started the game at the Keyworth Stadium and lasted the full 90 minutes.

Le Rouge got the Keyworth crowd excited early with a goal. A DCFC corner resulted in Brett Levis gaining possession of the ball and sending it to Michael Bryant, who headed the ball past the Miami goalkeeper to put Detroit up 1-0 barely two minutes into the game.

Detroit kept the pressure on, as Dario Suarez intercepted the ball near midfield and sprinted toward the Miami goalkeeper, but his shot went just wide of the post.

A foul by Miami in the 54th minute gave Detroit a free kick from approximately 30 yards away. A fantastic sequence of plays from the free kick resulted in Levis receiving the ball and passing it to Devon Amoo-Mensah, who placed it in the back of the net to increase DCFC's advantage. It was Levis' second assist of the game, and Amoo-Mensah's second goal in as many games.

In the 75th minute, Detroit conceded a penalty, which Miami scored to make the score 2-1 with only 15 minutes remaining.

Detriot FC will play Phoenix Rising FC in their next league game.
