Portuguese sides Canelas 2010 and GD Mirandes have reached an agreement over the transfer of Ghanaian defender, Ernest Borketey Bortey FootballmadeInGhana.com can exclusively reveal.

The 22 year old have signed for GD Mirandes in the Seguna League (the second-highest division of the Portuguese football league system, after the Primeira Liga) after signing for Canelas 2010 FC in September 20 last year.

The strong centre-back on 18th September featured in C.F Canelas 2010’s presentation match against S.C. Esmoriz at the Estadio De Canelas (home ground of C.F Canelas) ahead of the 2018-2019 Terceira Divisão season after spending some months with them on trials and finalised the said move upon the arrival of his International Transfer Certificate (I.T.C) from the Ghana Football Association (G.F.A).

Bortey has not played a competitive game for the Vila Nova De Gaia side since joining them due to the delay of his International Transfer Certificate (I.T.C) but appeared on the wish list of several clubs in the Portuguese Division League and also Oystese IL in Norway due to his wonderful displays during his trial spell.

The workaholic player is expected to use the loan deal to help GD Mirandes escape relegation as they’re currently 17th on the league table after match day 20.
