The former Dreams FC player lasted the entire duration of the game as his outfit strolled to a 2-0 win over AS Real Bamako on Saturday.

Issah Yakubu was a valuable presence at the back for his side sniffing away every danger. Having won his first trophy, he will hope to contribute more towards the success of the club.

“I’m very happy to win the Super Cup with my team. I joined Stade Malien not long ago and being able to help them win a trophy is a plus for me. This is the second trophy in my career so I’m extremely happy. I’m looking forward to helping the club achieve big things” he told Footballghana.com in an interview.

Despite interest from other clubs, the highly-rated defender opted to join Stade Malien.
