Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong helped Bayer Leverkusen to secure a point against champions Bayern Munich on Friday evening.

The match week four encounter ended 2-2 after 90 + 6 minutes.

The Manchester United target started the game at the Allianz Arena and lasted 82 minutes.

With seven minutes gone, Edmond Tapsoba attempted to clear a Leroy Sane corner but instead flicked it on into the path of Kane, who headed in at the far post.

However, Leverkusen quickly began to enter the game and generate chances for themselves. The equalizer came from a free kick from a central position, as Grimaldo rocketed his ball over the wall and past Sven Ulreich into the top corner.

The game resumed from where it left off in the second half. The next huge chance fell to Jeremie Frimpong, who was played in by Grant Xhaka, but Ulreich saved with his leg.

Leon Goretzka scored in the 86th minute to give the home team the lead. A penalty was awarded to Leverkusen in added time Exequiel Palacios stepped up to score.

After the game Jeremie Frimpong took to his official X page to tweet "We keep growing" with a fist pump emoji.

Bayer Leverkusen will take on Heidenheim in their next league game.
