Ghanaian centre-back John Boye was in action for FC Metz as they lost 2-0 to Paris Saint Germain in the French Ligue 1 on Friday night.

Boye put an impressive display for the French outfit as they suffered their second defeat of the season at the Stade Saint-Symphorien.

Argentina winger Angel di Maria gave PSG the lead through a penalty in the 11th minute before a two-minute delay in the game.

It was the second French top-flight game halted in three days, after Nice's match with Marseille.

Striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting doubled PSG's lead from Marco Verratti's free-kick to secure all the maximum points for the 2018/19 Ligue 1 champions.

John Boye lasted the entire duration of the game.

Presently, Metz are 13th on the league standings after four matches played in the French top-flight so far.
