Ghanaian defender Jordi Osei-Tutu faces uncertain future at VfL Bochum post-loan

English-born Ghanaian defender, Jordi Osei-Tutu, who was loaned to Greek Super League club PAS Ioannina in January, is set to return to

VfL Bochum at the end of the season. However, his future at the German club appears doomed, as reported by WAZ.

The 25-year-old defender, who has played seven games for Ioannina in the past six months, is not in Bochum's long-term plans. This is particularly true as the club faces potential relegation.

As a result, Bochum is reportedly keen on selling Osei-Tutu, who still has a contract with the club until 2025.

According to Transfermarkt, Jordi Osei-Tutu's current market value stands at 700,000 euros. Despite his uncertain future, the defender's experience and potential could make him an attractive option for other clubs seeking to bolster their defensive line.

VfL Bochum will be fighting for their survival in the Bundesliga as they travel to the Merkur Spiel-Arena for the second leg of their relegation/promotion playoff against Fortuna Dusseldorf on Monday.

The second-tier side, Fortuna Dusseldorf, put on an impressive display in the first leg, storming to a 3-0 success on Bochum's home turf on May 23. With this commanding lead, Fortuna Dusseldorf simply needs to avoid a disastrous collapse on their own soil to secure their return to the top-flight of German football after a four-year absence.

Bochum, on the other hand, will have to dig deep and produce a remarkable comeback to retain their Bundesliga status.
