Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu to miss Southampton’s game against Arsenal due to yellow card accumulation

Ghanaian international, Mohammed Salisu will not be part of the Southampton squad that will feature in the team next match in the English Premier League.

The young defender has started the 2021/22 English Premier League campaign on a bright note and has managed to establish himself as a key figure in the starting eleven of the team.

Over the past weekend when Southampton played a 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, Mohammed Salisu lasted the entire duration of the game but unfortunately picked up a yellow card.

As a result of that caution, he now has five yellow cards in the 15 appearances he has made in the English Premier League.

Per the regulations of the English top-flight league, the highly-rated defender must now serve a one match ban.

As a result, Mohammed Salisu is expected to miss Southampton’s trip to London on Saturday where the team will play against Arsenal.
