Ghanian international Nicholas Opoku was in action for  Amiens in their 1-0 defeat to Le Havre in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday.

The 22-year-old put up an impressive performance for his side but it was not enough as they lost their first game of the season at Stade Oceane.

An own goal by Nathan Monzango in the 44th minute of the game sealed all three points for the hosts.

Opoku was shown a yellow card in the 46th minute.

The Ghanaian defender completed his transfer to the relegated French Ligue 1 side from Udinese this summer.

He penned a season-long deal with the club after successful negotiations and passing his mandatory medical.

Opoku spent the second half of the 2019/20 season with Amiens SC on loan and made seven appearances for the club before the campaign was ended abruptly because of the coronavirus pandemic.
