Ghanaian defender Nicholas Opoku impressed in Amiens SC debut against Toulouse

Ghana international Nicholas Opoku made his Amiens SC debut in their 0-0 draw against Toulouse on Saturday.

Opoku, who was handed a starting berth put up an impressive performance for his side as he helped them keep a clean sheet and secure a vital point at home.

The 22-year-old joined the Unicorns on loan for the rest of the season on Tuesday from Udinese.

The Ghanaian and Aurelian Chejou marshalled the defense to keep the visitors at bay throughout the 90 minutes.

He lasted the entire duration of the game with scintillating display.

Amiens paid €500,000 for the loan deal and would have to pay a sum of around €5 million to exercise the buy option.

The deal would only be fully completed if the Unicorns retain their French Ligue status at the end of the season.

He has made 22 appearances in all competitions for Udinese since joining from Tunisian giants Club African in 2018.
