Ghanaian defender Stephan Ambrosius changes agent ahead of likely summer exit from HSV

Hamburger SV has one of the best defenses in the league behind St Pauli but Stephan Ambrosius is not part of this feat.

Stephan Ambrosius has only made two starts in the Bundesliga 2 this season.

Ambrosius is dissatisfied with his current situation at HSV. According to a report from Hamburg-based MOPO, the 24-year-old has changed agents.

The Hamburg-born Ghanaian defender left the Total Sports Agency after three years. During this period, Ambrosius got a lucrative deal with HSV, from which he still profits today. His contract with HSV ends at the conclusion of the season, and no renewal is in the works, according to the tabloid.

Five years ago, Stephan Ambrosius moved from HSV youth to the first team, and at the time, he was regarded as one of the best center defensemen on the Elbe.

The 24-year-old was unable to play more than 29 competitive games for Hamburg due to two cruciate ligament ruptures within a span of 28 months.

Ambrosius hasn't had any opportunities under head coach Tim Walter, which is why the defender spent last season on loan at Karlsruher SC.
