Ghanaian defender Stephan Ambrosius has returned to Hamburger SV after his loan spell with Karlsruher SC expired,

The defender is keen on moving to a new club this summer where he would be guaranteed more playing time.

The defender's desire to end his contract is apparent; he believes he won't be able to play much in the upcoming season. The former German U21 international was denied an opportunity under Tim Walter.

Ambrosius should make 600,000 euros a year, according to the "Bild". Given that Ambrosius is now sidelined due to a ruptured muscle fiber, money that perhaps no other team pays.

If he wants to play at another club from the summer on, he will certainly need to make some sacrifices. However, a contract cancellation would need to be agreed to by all parties first.

The 24-year-old made 18 appearances for Karlsruher SC in the German Bundesliga 2 this season. His current market value is 1 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
