Ghanaian defender, Wisdom Quaye was in action for the Honduras national team last week when the side lost 3-0 to USA in the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Real España player due to bad weather conditions, suffered an injury but did not even notice.

It was subsequently after the game that he realised he had injured his foot and needed medical attention.

“I played the whole game and I don't know when I got hurt, maybe in a tackle or a collision. I didn't feel my feet because of how cold it was, there wasn't any pain.

“But when I was at room temperature, I started to feel the pain. It swelled up quite a bit. At the airport there came a time when I couldn't walk,” Wisdom Quaye told El Diez de Honduras in an interview.

Fortunately he is now doing better after returning to his club, Real Espana.
