Ghanaian duo Bernard Tekpetey and Elvis Manu were in action for Ludogorets on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, when the team defeated Shakhter Soligorsk 1-0 in a Uefa Champions League qualification match.

The Bulgarian Champions are keen on playing in Europe’s elite inter-club competition but must first progress from the qualification stage to make the group stage.

Yesterday at home, Ludogorets hosted Shakhter Soligorsk in the first of a two-legged tie.

Following an impressive show of fighting spirit from the team, they managed to record a narrow 1-0 win courtesy of an equalizer from Cauly Oliveira after he was assisted by Mavis Tchibota.

On the matchday, Bernard Tekpetey started the game and last 60 minutes before his place was taken by Wanderson.

Later in the game, Elvis Manu was also introduced as he replaced Stephane Badji. The two Ghanaian players will have a big role to play in the second leg of the tie next week.
