Ghanaian duo Joseph Amoako and Benjamin Acquah makes first start for Helsingborg IF in Sweden

Ghanaian duo of Joseph Amoako and Benjamin Acquah made their first start of the season for Swiss top-flight side Helsingborg IF in their 2-1 defeat against Malmo FF.

Joseph Amoako, who joined the club early this year from Asante Kotoko lasted 59 minutes whiles Benjamin Acquah enjoyed 78 minutes of action for Helsingborg.

Acquah joined Helsingborg from Elmina Sharks after explosive display in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.

Malmo FF opened the scoring through Isaac Kiese Thelin in the 24th minute before Daniel Olsson restored parity for the visitors in the 37th minute.

After the break, Malmo FF made their efforts count by scoring the winning goal in the dying embers of the game through Patriot Sejdiu to make it 2-1.

Helsingborg sits bottom of the Swiss top-flight table with five points after 12 matches into the campaign.

The Ghanaian duo will hope to help their outfit to back up from their slumber after making their first start this year.
