Ghanaian duo Nana Ampomah and Kelvin Ofori miss Fortuna Düsseldorf’s win against Bochum

Ghanaian duo Nana Opoku Ampomah and Kelvin Ofori played no part in Fortuna Düsseldorf’s pre-season friendly win against VfL Bochum last Saturday.

Nana Ampomah in his case is still not out of the woods after he recently tested positive to the Coronavirus.

As reported by footballghana.com earlier, the winger does not show any signs of the deadly disease but remains under observation as doctors wait for him to test negative in subsequent checks.

With that not done, he is still in self-isolation and was not available for selection when Fortuna Düsseldorf played against VfL Bochum.

For his compatriot Kelvin Ofori, he has not tested positive to the Covid-19 but because he did not train with the team in the run-up to the friendly game, the technical team decided he should sit out.

At the end of the exercise, a 43rd-minute equalizer from Polish forward Jakub Piotrowski handed the Düsseldorf-based club a 1-0 win.

Ofori is expected to join his teammates for training this week but Nana Ampomah will need to test negative to the Coronavirus first.
