German-born Ghanaian forward Aaron Opoku Tawiah deleivered a top-class performance to help Kaiserslautern secure a crucial away win over SSV Ulm 1846 in the German Bundesliga 2 opener.

Opoku started and lasted 87 minutes as his outfit cruised to a 2-1 win over their opponent at the Donaustadion on Sunday.

The 25-year-old attacker found the back of the late to secure maximum points for Kaiserslautern in the thrilling clash.

The first half of the much-anticipated clash ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.

Putting on a stellar performance, the visitors staged a comeback to amass the three maximum points at stake.

The home team wasted no time to open the scoring after Felix Higl netted to break the deadlock, three minutes into the second half.

The visitors pulled parity in the 77th minute mark through Boris Tomiak, who scored from the spot to draw his side level.

However, it was the Ghanaian attacker, who emerged as the hero in the game after hitting the back of the net in the 83rd minute mark to snatch all points for his side.

He was replaced by Tobias Raschl in the 87th minute, having done the needful for his club in the thrilling clash.

The German-Ghanaian will be hoping to maintain his form throughout the 2024/25 football campaign for Kaiserslautern as they aim for qualification to the Bundesliga.
