Ghanaian forward Abdul Basit Khalid keen on staying in top form to merit Black Stars call-up

Moldova based Ghanaian attacker, Abdul Basit Khalid has revealed that he is working hard to stay in top form to ensure he merits a Black Stars call-up in the not too distant future.

The well-built striker has been one of the best players at Sheriff Tiraspol in the past year where he has not only scored a lot of goals but has also assisted a good number.

Speaking to Metro TV in an interview today, Abdul Basit Khalid has opened up on his ambition to play for the senior national team.

According to him, he dreams of playing for the Black Stars and has set his sight on scoring more goals this season to catch the attention of the national team head coach.

“Aside from helping FC Sheriff Tiraspol, to achieve its targets, I have a person targets for the season, I want to score 15 goals and hope that will earned me a place in the Black Stars squad,” the 25-year-old striker said.

He has been phenomenon in the Moldovan top-flight league this season and in the Uefa Champions League as well.
