German-Ghanaian forward Ansgar Knauff named Europa League Young Player of the Season for 2021/22

German-forward of Ghanaian descent, Ansgar Knauff has been named the Europa League Young Player of the Season for the 2021/22 campaign.

The player who is still under contract with German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund joined Eintracht Frankfurt last season on a two-year loan contract.

Although he had to fight for his place in the new team, he managed to do so in a short time and established himself as a key player for the team.

Not only in the German Bundesliga but Ansgar Knauff also starred for Frankfurt in the Uefa Europa League.

In a campaign where he helped the Germans to emerge as champions of the European competition, the talented forward was subsequently shortlisted for the young player of the year award.

Ahead of the Super Cup tonight, Ansgar Knauff has been officially named the winner of the award.

“Ansgar Knauff named Europa League Young Player of the Season for 2021/22,” a statement on the Twitter page of Uefa Europa League has said.
