Ghanaian forward Benjamin Bernard Boateng on target for Smouha SC in draw against Aswan SC in Egyptian top-flight

Ghanaian forward Benjamin Bernard Boateng registered his name on the scoresheet for Smouha SC in their stalemate against Aswan SC in week 23 of the Egyptian Premier League.

The goal was his fourth this season for Smouha SC in 21 appearances in the top-flight.

The former Elmina-Sharks star was handed a starting role and lasted 79 minute to help his side secure a point away against Aswan SC on Tuesday.

Smouha shot into the lead through the Ghanaian forward in the 37th minute at the Aswan stadium before Mohamed Hamdi Zaki restored parity in stoppage time

Boateng, who puts up a stellar show received a yellow before he was subbed off from the game.

The draw takes Smouha one step up on the league standings to the 10th position with 28 points while Aswan maintained their 12th position 27 points.

Boateng is on loan from Al Ittihad Alexandria.
