Ghanaian forward Deabeas Owusu-Sekyere scored the winning goal for Cangzhou Mighty Lions when they came from behind to secure the three maximum points against Wuhan Three Towns in the Chinese Super League.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian was a second half substitute when his outfit inflicted a 2-1 win over their opponent on home turf on Saturday.

Owusu-Sekyere was introduced in the 70th minute mark, replacing Georgiy Zhukov and made his presence felt.

Mighty Lions fell behind at the Cangzhou Stadium following Shishao Wei strike after just one munite as the visitors held onto the one goal advantage until recess.

Mighty Lions uplifted their performance after the break and drew level in the 70th minute when Croatian defender Mile Skoric found the back of the net.

Ten minutes to full time, Owusu-Sekyere scored to seal the comeback win for Cangzhou after connecting a pass from Jurgen Locadia. It was his first goal of the season for Cangzhou Mighty Lions.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian has one goal in 10 appearances in the Chinese top-flight since the beginning of the 2023 campaign.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian attacker Abdul-Aziz Yakubu was not involved in the match for Three Towns due to an ailment.
