Ghanaian female sensation, Princess Marfo has completed a switch to play for American team Bay FC.

The historic move has been announced by FC Nordsjaelland.

Princess Marfo, 18, only moved to Europe two years ago when she moved from the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana to play for FC Nordsjælland.

At the club, the forward quickly settled in and established herself as one of the key players.

After excelling in the Danish Gjensidige Women's League, Princess Marfo has now been signed by Bay FC to play in America.

“From the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana to a profile in the Danish Gjensidige Women's League. Now the trip goes across the Atlantic for 20-year-old Princess, who will in future play for the American team Bay FC,” a club statement by FC Nordsjaelland said.

Speaking after completing the move, Princess Marfo said she hopes more players will follow her path from the Right to Dream Academy.

“I have learned a lot at FC Nordsjælland. At the academy, I mostly played with boys. Communication was not always good. Here at the club, communication is important. And I have found that communication is everything.

“I think a lot about the fact that I am the first woman from Right to Dream who has made the trip to Denmark. And I hope that young girls can use me as an example and see that it is possible. It is difficult and you have to focus 100% on football, but it is possible,” Princess Marfo said as quoted on the website of FC Nordsjaelland.
