Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko are close to securing the services of Legon Cities defender Michael Ampadu ahead of next season, according to local media reports.
The 24-year-old enjoyed an amazing season with the Royals and is considered as one of the best right-backs in the domestic top-flight at the moment.
He played an instrumental role for Legon Cities, featuring 29 times in the Ghana Premier League.
According to reports, talks between the former Liberty Professionals star and the Porcupine Warriors is in advanced stage and will in the coming days reach agreement.
Michael Ampadu will have to battle it out with Augustine Agyapong and Christopher Nettey for the right-back spot should a deal materialize.
He is currently part of the Black Galaxies squad at Prampram, preparing for the double header against the Benin Squirrels in the 2023 CHAN qualifiers.
