Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko interested in signing Medeama defender Vincent Atingah

Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko SC are interested in the signing of Medeama SC defender Vincent Atingah for their African campaign next season.

The Porcupine Warriors will represent Ghana in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League campaign after emerging as winners of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title.

This means the two-time African Champions must augment their squad ahead of their participation in the competition which starts in August this year.

Footballghana.com has learnt Kotoko wants to bolster their defense and has identified the former Hearts of Oak marksman to be key for the club.

Coach Prosper Narteh is a huge admirer of the towering guardsman and will be happy to have him in his squad for Africa.

He has been an outstanding performer the Ghanaian top-flight this season having played 28 matches and scored 6 goals in the process earning him a place in the Black Stars B squad.

Atingah has had stints with Ebusua Dwarfs, Hearts of Oak and Medeama in the local scene.

He was a key member of the Ghana team that the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations which was in Cape Coast when he was playing for rivals Hearts of Oak.
