Ghanaian Jamie Leweling shares excitement after sealing permanent move to Stuttgart

German-born Ghanaian forward Jamie Leweling has shared his excitement after sealing permanent move to VfB Stuttgart.

Leweling signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028 following an impressive loan spell at the club.

The forward joined Stuttgart on loan from Union Berlin before the start of the 2023/24 and delivered an outstanding performance for the club in the just ended campaign.

The 23-year-old made 38 competitive appearance for Stuttgart this campaign, contributing 10 goals for the club.

Leweling featured in all 34 games in the German Bundesliga, scoring four goals and providing six assists as Stuttgart finished second in the Bundesliga.

“I feel really comfortable at VfB. The coaching staff, the team and the fans welcomed me very well. I'm glad that I'll continue here in the future”

“It was a bit difficult for me at the beginning of the season, but I was able to improve over the course of the season and am on the right track. This season has been incredible.” He said after sealing permanent move to Stuttgart.

He will feature in the UEFA Champions League next season after helping Stuttgart to finish second in the Bundesliga.
