Ghanaian defender Jonas Adjei Adjetey will remain at Swiss giants FC Basel despite attracting interest from France, Footballghana.com can report.
Adjetey, who recently broke into the starting lineup of Basel has been become a subject of interest for clubs in France and other part of Europe.
The Ghanaian defender earned promotion to the first team of Basel after impressing with the U21 team following his arrival in August 2022.
The 20-year-old former Ghana U20 defender made eleven appearances in the Swiss Super League and is now considered as a key member of Basel.
Despite huge interest from France, the former Berekum Chelsea defender will remain at Basel
Meanwhile, the centre-back will be hoping to make more appearances for Basel in the upcoming season.
Adjetey departed Ghana for greener pastures in August 2022. He joined Basel from Berekum Chelsea in 2022 August.
