Ghanaian midfielder Augustine Boakye scores in Wolfsberger AC’s win over Austria Lustenau

Ghanaian youngster Augustine Boakye was in a devastating form when Wolfsberger AC defeated Austria Lustenau in the Austrian top-flight on Saturday.

The former WAFA midfielder was handed a starting role and contributed immensely to propel his side to victory.

Boakye registered his name on the scoresheet as Wolfsberger cruised to a 3-2 away win over their opponent in the 14 clash played at the Planet Pure Stadion.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian midfielder opened the floodgate for his outfit after founding the back of the net thirteen minutes into the game. The host went to the halftime break with the advantage.

Austria international Thierno Ballo doubled the advantage for the visitors after scoring from the spot in the 64th minute before Namory Cisse pulled one back for the host in the 69th minute.

Thierno Ballo scored his second goal of the match in the 78th minute to seal victory for Wolfsberger. Yadaly Diaby reduced the deficit in the 85th minute.

The former WAFA and Ghana midfielder is enjoying an amazing season with Wolfsberger so far this season, scoring five goals and providing five assists in 13 appearances in the Austrian top-flight.
