The 25-year-old has missed the Turkish side's last three games due to suspension handed to him by the club following his desire to leave in the January transfer window.

According to reports, he flouted the club’s rules after growing frustrated over the lack of financial entitlement.

Hence, Mensah did not feature for the Blood and Gold lads as they lost 2-0 at Fenerbahce.

Coach Robert Prosinecki recalled the midfielder for their clash against Ankaragucu and he repaid his coach's faith in him with an impressive performance and a goal for the side.

The Ghanaian gave Kayserispor the lead from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute before Alihan Kubalas scored the equaliser in the 68th minute as they share the spoils.

He was shown a yellow card but he lasted the entire duration of the game.
