Ghanaian midfielder Geoffrey Acheampong scored for RoPS in their 3-2 win over VPS in the Veikkausliiga on Saturday.
Acheampong put up an impressive performance as he helped his side seal a narrow win at Rovaniemi's Football Stadium.
The 24-year-old opened the scoring for the home side in the 5th minute but VPS equalised through Kalle Maltanen on the stroke of half-time.
After the recess, the visitors took the lead Karrem Moses in the 56th minute but Vertti Hanninen levelled for the score for RoPS seven minutes later.
Srdan Vujaklija bagged the match-winner in the 82nd minute to cement their position at the top of the league table with 35 points.
Acheampong played the full throttle of the game. He has made seven appearances, scored three goals and register in the Finnish Ykkönen league.
