English-born Ghanaian midfielder Hiram Boateng grabbed an assist in Mansfield Town's 1-0 win against Forest Green Rovers in the English League Two on Wednesday at the One Call Stadium.

The Stags made a strong start and dominated the whole game.

The first attempt of the game came from Louis Reed, whose strike from 20 yards missed the target. However, it was Boateng who caught the attention of spectators with his impressive play. His dipping strike in the ninth minute forced a smart save from the Forest Green goalkeeper.

The decisive moment came in the 20th minute when Boateng delivered a delicate left-footed cross into the box. Nichols stretched to meet it, sending a looping header into the air that deceived Tom Reyes, finding its way into the far corner of the net.

Despite a goalless second half, the Stags maintained their control over the game. After five minutes of added time, referee Daniel Maddison blew the final whistle, securing a well-deserved victory for Mansfield Town

Hiram Boateng has scored five goals and assisted two in 30 appearances for the Stags this season.
