Mansfield Town suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Crawley Town in the English League Two, despite a late goal from English-born Ghanaian midfielder Hiram Boateng.

The midfielder scored a stunning right-footed shot from the center of the box in the 80th minute, assisted by George Williams at the One Call Stadium.

The head-to-head record between the two teams before the game was evenly matched, with Mansfield Town winning eight times, Crawley Town winning six times, and four draws. However, Crawley Town dominated the match from the start, with Kellan Gordon scoring the opening goal in just the 4th minute.

Nicholas Tsaroulla doubled Crawley Town's lead in the 25th minute, with a right-footed shot from the left side of the box. Danilo Orsi added a third goal in the 55th minute, before Klaidi Lolos scored the fourth goal in the 56th minute.

Despite the heavy defeat, Boateng's goal was a consolation for the Stags, who will be looking to bounce back in their next game.

Hiram Boateng has made 29 appearances, scored five goals, and assisted once in League Two this season.
