Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Baffo blasts referee after Halmstad’s 2-1 defeat to Norrköping

Published on: 27 April 2021

Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Baffo has expressed his displeasure to officiating following his Halmstad BK’s 2-1 defeat to Norrköping in the Swedish top-flight league.

The two Swedish Allsvenskan outfits on Sunday locked horns to battle for points on matchday 3 of the recently started 2021 season.

Although Halmstad BK led at halftime, the home team returned from the break to score two to overturn the match and ensure they cruised to victory.

Following an overlooked penalty incident where Joseph Baffo was brought down in the area of Norrköping, the Ghanaian was left disappointed after the match and took to his Instagram page to blast the officials.

"The quality is downright embarrassing. Is the lack of interest really so great that you only give the license [sic] to anyone? That you are not ashamed to come to a match just to blow in favor of the home team", Baffo posted as reported by Kvällposten.

Despite the harsh criticism, Joseph Baffo is not expected to face sanctions.
