Ghanaian midfielder, Kobbie Mainoo has signed the Book of Condolence opened in memory of the late Manchester United and England legend Sir Bobby Charlton.
The 1966 FIFA World Cup winner dies on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the age of 86.
However, the English-born Ghanaian youngster joined the rest of the Red Devils teammates including captain Bruno Fernandez and Jonny Evans to pay tribute to the club’s legend.
Sir Bobby Charlton played a huge role in English football history, winning the 1966 World Cup title with the Three Lions, which remains the only mundial title won by England.
Mainoo recently recovered from an injury he suffered during pre-season friendly against Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Mainoo is gradually carving his path into the Manchester United team and could make his season debut in the UEFA Champions League game against Copenhagen on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old midfielder impressed manager Erik ten Hag during pre-season and was set for a huge role in the new season before the injury setback.
His return to training is morale-boosting for the struggling Manchester United as they seek to turn around things in the UEFA Champions League.
